3DK now has a Twitter account.
I have now set up a Twitter account so I can get to know modellers who are interested in what I am doing. When you are shut up in the workshop all day it is nice to talk. You can view my Twitter account at: http://twitter.com/#!/threedk/status/54264582549680128

Completed Resin Weighbridge Kit
Hello there to all our 3DK blog readers.
As you read in my blog of March 16th, I had been working on a Highland Castings commission for a company in the United Kingdom (Invertrain.com). I was commissioned to produce a commercial resin kit of Alnwick weighbridge office. Well I have now finished the work and have posted the completed demo kit images here for your enjoyment. I have lit the inside of the kit so you get a nice view of the internal detailing that comes with the building. It has internal walls with a host of detailing cast on to them.
The next project I have been commissioned to do is a set of stone North Eastern Railway coal drops for a customer in Europe.
I am also working hard to complete a spring clean of my web site at www.3dk.ca and trying to up-load all my new kits before the snow melts.
Thanks and happy modeling and remember, if you want any information on our services and products then drop me a line at h3dk@live.ca or visit my website at www.3dk.ca.

We are nearly into spring and the workshop is due for a good spring clean. I find that the shop accumulates a large amount of off cuts and bits and bobs from designs and kits that I have been working on and as much as I would love to keep it all just in case that small piece of styrene might be needed, it has to go to make room for more off cuts from all the new designs we have on the go.
We are nearing the completion of one design for a UK company and they commissioned us to produce an O Gauge 7mm to 1 foot resin kit which is based on a south of England stone weighbridge. I make the walls out of soft casting plaster which can be nicely carved. The stone work at the corners must fit exactly with all the other walls and over the years I have developed a unique system to ensure that the stonework is a perfect fit.

New 3DK Hydrocal Kits
Hello to all my blog readers,
I have just released my new HO Scale hydrocal building kit. This is a bit of a change for me as my normal line of building kits are made from cardstock. I design and produce hydrocal kits for other companies in the United States, Great Britain and Canada but this is the first time I have produced any under the banner of 3DK. Hydrocal is a product of U.S. Gypsum. It has great strength, much more than plaster and reproduces detail to a very fine degree.
The kit includes hydrocal walls; roof and platform with injection molded Tichy windows, cast resin doors and resin accessories. The kit also includes a detailed printed interior. Also included with the kit are packing cases, sack piles and covered loads. I am uploading the kit to my web site at www.3dk.ca over the next week so please feel free to go online and have a look.
There will be a few more coming out in the near future so keep an eye on my blog or my web site and as always, if you have any suggestions then please drop me a line and happy modelling
